El Pozo de Vida`s mission is to fight against human trafficking in Mexico and Central America through holistic strategies in prevention, intervention, and restoration of vulnerable children, women, families, communities as well as collaboration with key stakeholders.

We have participated in Key Stakeholder trainings with UNODC on an international level, and we are in the process of registering for consultative status with ECOSOC. On a local level we have collaborated with the Mexico City UNODC office for research on a best practices model for safehomes for human trafficking victims, have collaborated with them for prevention and awareness events, forums, and working groups, and are launching a local website for prevention awareness education.

El Pozo de Vida`s work is linked with the UN Convention against Transnational Organized Crime in the area of human trafficking. El Pozo De Vida is a NGO that fights against human trafficking in Mexico and Central America. We are committed to the prevention, intervention, and restoration of children, women, families, and communities who are vulnerable to this crime, so that they can experience freedom and a fresh start in life. We currently run 9 programs that allow us to have influence on a national level in Mexico, as well as to be references on a continental level; we form part of the Regional Coalition against Human Trafficking and Migrant Smuggling in Latin America and the Caribbean.
