Hope Pyx Global, a U.S.-based nonprofit organization, is dedicated to empowering survivors of human trafficking and gender-based violence while championing human rights. Our Founder and Executive Director, Eileen Dong, a survivor leader, places survivors at the forefront of our mission and uses trauma-informed support to create lasting systemic change. Eileen’s leadership role on the U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants (USCRI) Human Trafficking Survivor Advisory Board, along with her experience working with the Department of Justice, Department of Homeland Security, and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, informs her expertise across multiple sectors, including law enforcement training, government agency consultation on policy and program, and collaboration with civil society organizations.
Eileen’s approach emphasizes survivor leadership as a critical tool in ending human trafficking and organized crime. Through multidisciplinary collaborations with law enforcement, victim service providers, and grassroots organizations, Hope Pyx Global advocates for increased resources to support survivors. Notable achievements include the successful passage of Senate Bill 49 (SB49), which increased Texas’s Crime Victims Compensation from US$1,800 to US$5,000, and the reallocation of US$1 million to establish Texas’s first Trauma Recovery Center.
Globally, Eileen has worked with the UN Women’s Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) Working Groups, amplified survivor voices through UNODC at the UN’s High-Level Political Forum, and collaborated with UNHCR on initiatives addressing refugees in higher education. We continue aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs 5 and 16), focusing on ending abuse, exploitation, trafficking, and all forms of violence and torture against women and children to advance the 2030 Agenda.
